Verified Calling

What is Verified Calling?

When you make calls from your Reach number, carriers check whether the call is coming from a verified business. If it's not verified, the call might show up as "Spam Likely" or "Scam Likely" on the recipient's phone — which means they probably won't answer.

Reach uses a system called SHAKEN/STIR to verify your outbound calls. This tells carriers that the call is legitimate and coming from the number it claims to be coming from.

Do I need to do anything?

If you complete business verification through your Account Setup page, we automatically register your number for verified calling. There's nothing extra to set up — it happens behind the scenes.

If you haven't verified your business, your calls still work but may not receive the highest level of trust from carriers. Completing business verification is free and takes about 5 minutes.

What does "Verified" look like?

It depends on the recipient's carrier and phone:

  • Some phones show a checkmark or "Verified" badge next to the caller ID
  • Others simply don't flag the call as spam — which is the most important part
  • Landlines display the caller ID normally regardless

How long does it take?

After completing business verification, your number is typically registered for verified calling within minutes. Carriers may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate the verification.

Does this cost anything?

No. Verified calling is included with every Reach plan at no additional cost.
